When a customer needs a vertical turbine pump — planned or urgent — most suppliers can place an order. Delta can hand over a built, configured, ready-to-run unit.
That difference comes down to one building in Lethbridge, Alberta.
"The Lethbridge build center is one of the things that genuinely separates Delta from the rest of the market. When a customer has a vertical turbine requirement — whether it’s planned or urgent — we can respond with a built, configured, ready-to-run unit. That’s not something you can replicate by placing a factory order. It’s the result of deliberate investment in people, inventory, and expertise — and Brad, Rod, and team have made it something we’re very proud of."
Mike Hannan - General Manager, Delta Water Products AB Ltd
The build shop is 6,000 square feet on a one-acre lot in Lethbridge and has been running builds since it opened in March 2020.
In an industry where downtime costs real money, lead time is everything — and that's exactly what an in-house build shop solves. Builds can also be configured to NSF compliance, an important consideration for water systems customers.
The shop runs multiple build programs, including:
→ Vertical turbine builds → STS builds → Centrifugal builds
Behind every unit that leaves Lethbridge is a small team with deep, specific expertise. Brad Callaghan and Rod Hofer lead the build program, backed by four additional team members who work in the shop on a regular basis.

Brad Callaghan has worked in the industry for 12 years, the last 6 with Delta/Aquateck. He earned his Electrical Journeyman ticket in 2006 and his Master Electrical certification in 2009.
"When I started in the industry, I did VFD training and Turbine pump sizing and have loved it ever since. I always wanted to be able to build these, and here we are."

Rod Hofer has 10 years in the industry, the last 5.5 with Delta/Aquateck. Beyond turbine builds, Rod also runs the other build programs (MH series, centrifugal), handles pump repairs and troubleshooting, and leads site commissioning and start-up.
"I have been building the STS pumps for 10 years, helped with the turbine build program design in Lethbridge, and have been building them ever since."
