Delta Wildfire is an emergency response company specializing in wildfire structure protection and flood response across Western and Central Canada. When you join Delta, you become part of a specialized response team supporting Wildfire Management agencies and private clients in high‑risk, urban‑interface environments.
As a member of our team, you will work within an organized and clearly defined command structure, deploying 4‑inch and 2.5‑inch hose lay systems to support all aspects of structure protection. This includes setting up perimeter and internal sprinkler systems to safeguard critical infrastructure from wildfire impact.
Our flood‑response operations involve the deployment of Tiger Dam and Arc Dam systems, as well as the use of our fleet of Tohatsu pumps to support dewatering and community recovery efforts.

This is a Full-Time salary position based in Kamloops BC.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide leadership, supervision, and overall support during response deployments for Wildfire Structure Protection, Heli-dip Tank operations, and flooding response. Work co-operatively with others in a team environment under adverse conditions. Ensure accurate and detailed daily notes and field tickets are completed and submitted to head office daily. Ensure daily safety briefings are documented utilizing our Site Docs Field App. Ensure all response equipment is maintained to the highest standards and ready for response 24/7. Maintain a high degree of personal safety. Ensure all equipment is maintained to its manufactured standards. Ensure all equipment repairs are documented and stored in office location Kamloops and readily available for review. Utilize equipment checklist to determine equipment is in safe working conditions. Report all unsafe equipment through established change of command Be able to lift 75 pounds. Be able to work in high stress and arduous conditions or otherwise undesirable characteristics in the environment, such as but not limited to fire, floods, heat, rain, and snow for up to 21 days.
Qualifications
This is a safety‑sensitive position requiring operation of emergency vehicles and supervision of crew members. Applicants must be at least 19 years old to meet insurance and safety requirements. Clean abstract Class 5 Drivers License or higher with ability to get a heavy trailer endorsement. 3-5 years of Wildland Fire experience as a squad boss. Excellent Physical shape and be able to pass BCWS fitness standards for contractors. OFA Level 1 Ticket Preferred. S-100 Basic Wildfire Suppression (Additional Training will be provided) S-185 Fire Entrapment (Additional training will be provided) S- 212 Fire Line Communications ICS 100 Incident Command or higher Some mechanical background is an asset. Experience in forklift operation is an asset. Must provide references that will be verified
