Position: Certified Irrigation Designer (Drip System and MicroSpray)
Delta Water Products across British Columbia is actively looking for certified, full-time, Drip and MicroSpray Irrigation Designers.
Positions Available: 2
Locations: Southern Okanagan (Penticton or Oliver), West Kelowna, Kamloops, Chilliwack.
Purpose: This position’s primary responsibilities are to create Drip and MicroSpray designs and provide take-offs of their corresponding materials lists to support our Ag Sales team for Vineyards, Orchards, and berry crops throughout BC.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Using supplied Irricad software, create detailed drawings to facilitate creation and installation of the drip design.
- GPS field mapping as required
- Use Irricad software supplied by Delta for detailed drawings and calculations
- Create take-offs and material lists (BOMs) for quotes
- Assist the sales team with on-site visits of potential customers to view project sites.
- Create presentations to assist customers in understanding designs and plans.
- Assist our customer base with annual AIF government funding models
Competencies
- Certification in Drip and MicroSpray within British Columbia.
- Irrigation knowledge of components and systems for commercial use.
- Strong experience with computer software
- Previous experience with an Irrigation software such as Irricad is an asset.
- Experience in creating plans, maps, and layout design.
- Ability to identify areas for improvement and contribute to potential solutions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong task-oriented individual
- Professional communication skills and the ability to speak effectively with clients.
